So sorry to all I've been MIA. I've been staging houses the past few weekends--I'm doing that again today....I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day--I will post back later this week-end photos of the Valentines Swap I participated in with Sarah over at Makin' Projiks and a day late dollar short tutorial on transforming a cardboard heart-shaped chocolate box into a vintage inspired beautiful keepsake! I've got my work cut out for me, as I'm also orchestrating a choral piece for church next Sunday. Whew! In the meantime, please enjoy these vintage Valentine's Day images courtesy of Silver Collect Blog.
FYI--the above image is the inspiration for the candy box tutorial coming soon--I still have to make the prototype, then photograph the steps making one! I hope to have that done by tomorrow.
Cupids, hearts, and beautiful Victorian Lithography.
She must have a broken heart this Valentine's Day!
Hopefully Cupid will liven things up!
This reminds me. . .though I'm too late posting this for you to do it, you can mail your stamped, addressed Valentines all packed up to the post office in Valentine, VA and they will post mark them there with their famous heart-shaped post mark. This is a Virginia tradition--many local businesses have drop boxes for them and a local radio personality goes around and picks them up and takes them to the Valentine's post office!
Well I'm off to get my week-end started!
