Sorry for almost a week with no posts! I've got several more posts of photos of Christmas decor from my home to be posted by the end of Christmas Day!
Of course, there are more antique Christmas ornaments!
Simple pearls adorn a miniature cedar tree along with bottle brush trees and a silver glittered church on a vintage silver platter.
This lovely French cast-iron bed was a find in a favorite junk shop!
Here is a close-up of the bed crown I made from tissue paper flowers and 27 yards of vintage lace!
I love silver trays--can you have enough?
Here is a close-up of the detail on the bed. It came with its original chippy white finish!
Oy vey--another cloche!
The end table in my guest room is a chippy, crusty, antique concrete bird bath!
Yet another Christmas tree! This time I decorated a white feather tree with scraps of ribbon, chandelier crystals, and spring green glass balls. I set the whole thing in a vintage silver ice bucket and tied on a pink tassel and a bow made from additional scraps of ribbon.
More mercury glass, bottle brush trees, and vintage Christmas ornaments. . .I love the little cherub on the base of this compote--he started life with me as part of a broken lamp. I painted him white and shabbyfied him and added the bowl from a tiered server that was missing pieces and finished it off with lamp parts to hold it together!
Here are some close-ups of the vintage brooches in my Christmas display.
One last photo shows where I festooned the poor defenseless chandy with a pink feather boa!
Oh--and more Christmas post coming right up 'til Christmas Day!!!
Merry Christmas from Shabby French Cottage
